On May 26, 1992 Carlton Fisk played in one minor league game at Coveleski Stadium in South Bend, Indiana. Back to the Midwest League for the first time since 1968 when he played for the Waterloo Hawks, Pudge was on an injury rehabiliation assignment.
In heroic fashion, Fisk hit a towering home run that hit the roof of the neighboring synagogue.
(Check out this great story about his one game in South Bend.)
Please e-mail me if you can help locate a ticket stub (or any other amazing memorabilia) from that one game in 1992.
